35 Year Nuclear Licensing and Compliance Expert to Help Expand Certrec’s Office of Licensing and Compliance Team

Fort Worth, TX (PRWEB) March 22, 2016 — Certrec, a leading licensing and regulatory compliance service provider that supports NRC and NERC compliance, announced today that industry veteran Mike Schoppman has joined its staff to cover selected NRC meetings in Washington DC.

Mr. Schoppman recently retired, after 14 years, as an NEI Senior Project Manager. He has over 35 years of experience in the areas of Licensing, Project Management, Tech Specs, FSAR, and Compliance.

“I am pleased to join Certrec in providing this valuable service to its clients,” said Schoppman.

“We’re excited to have someone with Mike’s industry experience to add another dimension to our meeting coverage,” said Ted Enos, Certrec President. Certrec’s team of industry professionals covered over 40 NRC meetings in 2015, and distributed timely, insightful summaries to its clients. Certrec has focused on meeting coverage by teleconference, allowing us the flexibility and ability to cover a wide variety of meetings. “Adding a Washington DC presence will allow us to gain additional insights for those important meetings with a wide variety of participants and viewpoints,” said Enos.

Mr. Schoppman is ideally suited for covering NRC meetings, having represented Florida Power and Light in its Bethesda, MD office (15 years), Framatome in its Rockville, MD office (4 years), and NEI (14 years). At NEI he was responsible for the Licensing Action Task Force and provided leadership in developing industry-wide resolution to generic licensing issues.
