40 Year Nuclear Licensing and Compliance Expert to Help Expand Certrec’s Office of Licensing and Compliance Team
Fort Worth, TX (PRWEB) September 06, 2017 — Certrec, a leading licensing and regulatory compliance service provider that supports NRC and NERC compliance, announced today that industry veteran Scott Head has joined its staff to serve as the Office of Licensing and Compliance Business Development Director.
Mr. Head recently retired from the STP Nuclear Operating Company. During the last nine years, he was responsible for all safety and environmental activities performed to support obtaining and maintaining the Part 52 Combined Licenses for South Texas Project Units 3 &4. He has over 40 years of experience in the areas of Licensing, Project Management, Engineering, and Compliance.

In his role as Licensing Manager for STP Unit 1&2, Scott led the effort for the Licensing of the Special Treatment Exemptions that directly led to the development of the 50.69 Rule. He also led the effort that resulted in the first application of Risk Informed Technical Specifications.
