Last month, we asked our audience Which country is the largest producer of nuclear energy? Overall, the most voted for answer was the United States at 40 percent of the vote. In second place was France at 38 percent. China received third place at 16 percent. Finally, Russia received the least amount of votes at 6 percent.
The correct answer is the United States. According to the World Nuclear Association, the U.S. is the world’s largest producer of nuclear power, accounting for about 30% of worldwide generation of nuclear electricity.
