Last month, we asked our audience what kind of reactor is used in most nuclear power plants worldwide? Overall, the most voted answer was Pressurized Water Reactor at 86 percent. In second place, Fusion Reactor received eight percent of the vote. Sodium-cooled Reactor received four percent of the vote. Finally, Gas-cooled Reactor received the least votes, at two percent.

The correct answer is Pressurized Water Reactors. The majority of nuclear power plants worldwide utilize Pressurized Water Reactors (PWRs). These reactors, which account for approximately 70% of the global reactor fleet, are commonly used in countries like the United States, France, Japan, Russia, China, and South Korea.
