Last month, we asked our audience which country generates the most electricity from nuclear energy? Overall, the most voted answer was the United States at 51 percent. In second place, France received 38 percent of the vote. China received 11 percent of the vote. Finally, Russia received the least votes, at zero percent.

The correct answer is the United States. While France has the largest share of electricity generated by nuclear power, at about 70 percent, the U.S. produces the largest amount of nuclear power globally. Currently, the U.S. accounts for around 30 percent of worldwide nuclear electricity generation.
